The
Laboratory of Neurogeriatrics at the Case Western Reserve University
is dedicated to using
a diversity of approaches to studying the neurodegenerative diseases
of late life. We follow a path of biological diversity, using
multiple biological methods to approach important problems from
different perspectives.
Despite important recent advances in
Alzheimer's disease genetics and biochemistry, we still do not have
an effective therapy and do not know why most people with the
disease have been afflicted. We know of many risk and protective
factors for the disease, but have limited awareness as to how they
work.
