Designated a Comprehensive Cancer
Center by the National Institutes of Cancer in 1998, the Cancer Center is committed to
"developmental therapeutics"--the rapid translation of basic science findings
into innovative therapies that assure the highest quality patient care. Uniting the
resources and expertise of Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) School of Medicine and
its principal affiliated hospital, University Hospitals of Cleveland, the Cancer Center
enables a fully integrated and interdepartmental research experience within a dynamic,
interdisciplinary training environment. Further, as the recipient of the largest volume of
NIH grant support of any institution in the state, CWRU School of Medicine offers a
renowned and growing faculty--exceptional clinicians and researchers--and state-of-the-art
facilities that include the 164,000 square feet Biomedical Research Building. |
