HIV/AIDS Research Facilities

Case Western Reserve University 's efforts toward basic science research of HIV/AIDS and its clinical applications stem from the work of its Center for AIDS Research (CFAR), AIDS Clincial Trials Unit and the John T. Carey Special Immunology Unit of University Hospitals of Cleveland. Established in 1994 as one of eleven such centers developed nationally, the CWRU CFAR provides cost-effective core support facilities, developmental funding and sponsorship of AIDS-related seminars. The Advanced Technology Laboratory provides immunology laboratory resources to monitor AIDS treatment trials.
